LNHR Consulting is Hiring an English Language Arts Teacher Near Maricopa, AZ

Overview:
A Charter Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature, writing, and language arts instruction. The High School ELA Teacher will be responsible for creating engaging and rigorous lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners, fostering a positive classroom environment, and collaborating with colleagues to support student success.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive, standards-based lesson plans for high school English Language Arts courses.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to engage students in reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including English language learners and students with special needs.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments and provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Use data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly to ensure all students are meeting academic standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units, common assessments, and interventions to support student growth.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues about student progress, behavior, and academic expectations.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in ELA instruction.
  • Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned by school leadership.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification/license in English Language Arts (or eligible for certification/license).
  • Prior experience teaching high school English Language Arts preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of English literature, grammar, writing instruction, and literacy development.
  • Strong understanding of educational technology and its integration into ELA instruction.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Passion for working with adolescents and helping them achieve academic success.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
